THE FIRST STEPS; INSPIRING YOUNG MINDS TO PURSUE EDUCATION SERIOUSLY

Talking to pupils of different primary schools in Vitengeni zone with Sheila Mutuku.
Most pupils have no good reason to be in school. They have no dreams and have not known the importance of going to school. They haven't known the importance of education in this society which NEEDS EDUCATION MOST.

In these talks, I together with Sheila Mutuku explain to them how important education is in positively changing our lives in Kilifi. As I speak to them, I realize how much they lacked such talks. In their eyes, you see how they are getting challenged and how most of them want to take the challenge and work harder in their academics.

They seem not to have had someone from their locality, one of their own, who they can emulate. Who can to them become a mentor. This helps me to realize how much these kids needed such talks. Therefore, I take the opportunity to stir in them the thirsty and hunger to acquire EDUCATION and CHANGE their lives, their families and the society.

It's so fulfilling to interact with them and inspire them. To know what they face and how they handle it. I am motivated to reach more schools, more pupils and help them set a foundation strong enough for realization of a better future, a better society. That's my dream. that's what I am longing for..........

The journey at 7 miles

They say that a journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. We took the first step at the beginning of November 2020. Don't ask why only 7 miles. Just let me tell you. I love number 7, it signifies completion and our establishment phase is complete. The journey has been real. Hardwork, grit, pressure, lows, highs, good and bad times. All of it speak of the journey. We started with two team members. We have grown to seven team members. We started without an office and now we have an amazing space where the team sits and we are still able to offer nine workstations for people who need space to work from. Our first sale was Kes. 2,500 and now our sales are so much more in a month. We didn't have any structures at the beginning. Now we have well formed structures. We only did websites and now we have an array of services and even more exciting we have three working software solutions: A property advertising and management system, an Event planning and items hiring system w...

MY DREAM

My name is Andrew Sikudhani Kadzoyo. I was born and brought up in the coastal region of Kenya, Kilifi County, Ganze sub-county, Vitengeni division, Dida location, Dida sub-location, Kizingo village. I went to Dida primary school and then proceeded to Sokoke secondary school. I am currently at The University of Nairobi pursuing a degree in commerce. My community is poor and I have always linked this to the illiteracy and poor education standards. This gave me a dream to do all I can to see my community is positively changed in all spheres of life. I started dreaming of a developed community, a rich community, a powerful community. I knew and I still know, I believed and still believe that EDUCATION alone can realise my dream. I subscribe to Mandela's great saying,"  education is the most powerful weapon that we can use to change the world. " YES. EDUCATION is the only thing that will change my community. EDUCATION is what will enrich my community. EDUCATION is what will e...

Tells of the best of Women

Our very first Date I have known this woman for the past 7 years, I have dated her for the past two years and I have been married to her for the past one year, four months and thirteen day, ( don't be fooled, I sort the help of a calculator and minutes of thinking) If you would like to meet an incredible woman, you should absolutely meet her. If you want to meet a smart and beautiful woman, you need to meet my wife. If you want to meet a flawed woman, damn right, you should look for her. If you want to meet a loyal and loving woman, my Eve should be your next meet. Every additional year she gets becomes first a gracious gift to me then to her. Don't get me wrong, it's just that she takes care of me more than she takes care of herself. This is her second birthday we are celebrating in Kilifi. The first was just a week after we had moved here from Nairobi. We just had a small "Fayaz" cake (I didn't even put a sad face, it was a terrible cake) with our very ...
